I am a native of Montreal, Canada, and I have a passion for teaching the French language. I have experience as a French translator and as a classroom teacher, teaching many subjects in my native tongue, which is French. I attended the University of Quebec at Montreal where I earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in French Literature. I also hold a teaching certificate in Education. I began my career by teaching for five years at various private schools in Montreal. I then moved to Texas, and since my move, I have worked as a translator in the Dallas area for several companies. I miss teaching, and that is why I enjoy tutoring so much. When tutoring, I like exposing my students to not only the French language, but the culture as well. I believe that when learning a new language, you must be immersed in it. For this reason, I include French music, magazines, newspapers, and videos in my lessons along with books. I can teach French to everyone from beginners who are just learning their first vocabulary words, to those with advanced French language skills looking to master their fluency. I love teaching French conversation and writing skills, as well. I have been successful in teaching my own children French, and they can even understand Italian. In my free time, I love reading and going on walks, but my favorite activity is traveling to visit my family in Montreal and speaking with the natives in French.
